Instructions for Free Communication Abstract Submission

  • Deadline for abstract submission: Wednesday, April 30th, 2025
  • All abstract submission must be made electronically through Korean Dermatological Association (KDA)'s online abstract submission system. The Scientific Committee will review the submitted abstracts, and only accepted papers will be presented at the symposium.
  • Please adhere to the guidelines attached form below. Abstracts are to be submitted in English. The authors’ names should be in English. The affiliation should be written in this order: Department, Name of Affiliation, Region, and Nationality.
  • The abstract title must be 200 characters or less (including spaces), and the abstract body must be 1,460 characters or less (including spaces).
  • Only original studies will be accepted. The format of an abstracts should include the following: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. Incomplete abstracts or abstracts with pending results will not be accepted.
  • Abstracts may not be withdrawn once submitted. The first author listed for each abstract serves as the presenting author, but in case of need, the co-authors may present the study.
  • No revision can be made after the abstract submission deadline. It is assumed that the presenting author will have adequate command of English to present and to respond to questions in Free Communication session.

Abstract Review and Acceptance / Rejection Notification

  • Final decisions will be made by the Scientific Committee.
  • A specific program and notification regarding acceptance or rejection of abstracts will be sent to the presenting author by an email after the review is completed following the submission deadline; consequently, an accurate e-mail address is critical. If your abstract is accepted, you will be required to attend and present at ‘2025 the 77th KDA International Autumn Meeting (The 80th Anniversary of the KDA)’.

Benefits

We encourage all of you to join KDA as well as to submit a Free Communication abstract (especially for residents and fellows). For selected Free Communication abstract submission before April 30th (Wed.), 2025, there are benefits such as complimentary registration and travel award fee for residents and fellows.

Abstract Submission Process

Sign-up and Log in

Please kindly sign-up and log-in first to submit the abstract. If you do not find the verification e-mail, please check your spam mail box.

Submission & Confirmation

When the abstract is submitted, a confirmation email will be automatically sent to the e-mail address you filled at the sign-up form.

Review & Modification

You can review or modify your submitted abstracts until April 30th (Wed.), 2025 on ‘My Page’.

Acceptance Notification

An acceptance notification will be sent to the presenting author and corresponding author via email.

Abstract Submission Guideline

Submission Method All abstract submission must be made electronically through Korean Dermatological Association (KDA)'s online abstract submission system. (*Sign-up required)
Language English
Word limit Title The abstract title must be 200 characters or less (including spaces). Capitalize the first letter of each word. Titles in ALL CAPS are not allowed. Refrain from using standard abbreviations or acronyms in the title.
Body The abstract body must be 1,460 characters or less (including spaces). Capitalize the first word the heading and of any subtitle/subheading.
Author Information Name All co-authors' first and family name(s) must be provided in full. Degrees or titles such as M.D. after an author's name must be deleted.
Affiliation The affiliation should be written in this order: Department, name of affiliation, region, and nationality.
Abstract Format Structure Only original studies will be accepted. The abstract should include the following: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. Incomplete abstracts or abstracts with pending results will not be accepted.

Tables
Maximum two optional figure(s) or table(s) to support abstracts may be included. (*File type: .jpeg, .jpg, .png only)

Abstract Policy

Acknowledgement After submitting the abstract, an automatic email will be sent to the presenting author, confirming the abstract information. Please make sure that you enter valid email address and contact the secretariat if the email confirmation has not been sent.
Modification Modifications may be made at any time until the abstract submission deadline of April 30th (Wed.), 2025.
Withdrawal Abstracts may not be withdrawn once submitted.
Acceptance Notice Presenting author and corresponding author of an abstract will receive the notification of acceptance via email.
