Guidance on Key Information

  • Presentation slides should be made at 16:9 ratio (not 4:3 ratio).
  • Punctuality Does Matter

    • The "Punctuality campaign" will continue through this year. An electronic timer will be used to display the remaining time during the presentation and an alarm goes off when allotted time is up.

  • Official Language

    • Abstracts, presentation slides and e-Poster should be made in English. Generally, both English and Korean are official spoken language for lectures.

  • e-Poster

    • e-Posters are easily accessible throughout the conference venue.

    • The search function has been upgraded so that you can simply start another search in different tab. It is not necessary to open another window.

  • Multi-Functional Self-Learning Station

    • The e-Poster Station designed not only to monitor posters, but also to help you learn as self-learning station. You can learn and enjoy at the same time with various functions provided at this place.

: Request of Cooperation for Elimination of Commercialism During Our Academic Conference

The Korean Dermatological Association (KDA) is a professional organization with a high degree of ethics. To minimize the influence of commercialism in the pursuit of medical truth to protect the health of the people, we put in all our efforts as follows and ask for your cooperation accordingly.

Disclosure of Conflict of Interest
Information regarding conflict of interest means legal support received from an agent producing or selling a product or technique that may be directly or indirectly related to the presentation. All speakers and panelists must disclose all information regarding conflict of interest in their presentation, in the second slide following the title slide. If there is no conflict of interest in the last 3 years, this fact must be clarified as “no conflict of interest to disclose.”
Do not Use Brand Names
Speakers, panelists, and chairpersons must do their best not to mention the names of specific manufacturers or products associated with presentation or discussion. In particular, the use of product names in the presentation slides and abstracts are prohibited.
Evidence-based Medicine
Speakers, panelists and chairpersons must provide robust scientific evidence to support their academic claims, especially when they are making head-to-head comparisons on specific products or techniques. If such evidence is insufficient, they must disclose the fact that it is their opinion based on experience.
Persons in Charge of Session Organization
Persons in charge of organizing a session must only receive official support of the KDA and sub-societies of the KDA. If there is a need to receive cash, spot goods or convenience from a pharmaceutical company, medical equipment manufacturer, agency, media, or individuals, they must obtain prior approval by the KDA.
